I value lasting client relationships that build over time. A graduate from the University of Oregon in Business, I have a current understanding of sustainable leadership, urban planning, water treatment and usage, architecture and waste management. Having this broad understanding contributes to a new level of customer service. It is important to me to contribute to the process of making others happy by getting the job done right.Prior to being licensed as a broker, this came into play for me while serving 7 seasons in wildland fire fighting with the US Forest Service. A fire fighter is similar to a real estate broker in that the job carries with it a high degree of responsibility while requiring expert skill. Lacrosse has been a big part of my life over the years, and I played for the University of Oregon. If it is exciting, physical and takes mental focus I’m interested – I definitely found the right profession. Licensed Principal Broker License ID: 961000028Jason Kappenman was born and raised in beautiful Eugene, OR. After Graduating from Sheldon High School in 1990, he joined the US NAVY. Jason served on the USS Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier in the gulf in 1990, and was deployed again to Bosnia in 1993. Jason was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island in Washington between deployments. After fulfilling his duty in 1994, Jason moved back to Eugene and started a family. He now has 2 children: Daughter Greta, born in 2000 and son Kyran, born in 2002.After serving in the NAVY, Jason received his 2 year Business/Real Estate degree at LCC. Jason earned his real estate license in 1996, working for Equity Realty BH&G, back before REALTORS even had access to the internet! In 2010 Jason earned his Principal Brokers license and found his way back into real estate sales. Jason supports his family and lifestyle by helping buyers and sellers with all aspects of residential sales; short sales, foreclosures, auctions, and his all-time favorite EQUITY Sales.When not working in real estate, Jason is a volunteer food recovery driver every Tuesday at the Eugene Mission, and appreciates Oregon's many outdoor recreation activities, notably hiking & backpacking. You can see his adventures on YouTube. He also loves camping, fishing, kayaking, biking, snowshoeing and snowboarding. Even though Jason works with an established client base he is never too busy for referrals. Jason truly loves what he does and ongoing referrals mean the world to Jason and his family.
